My friend is annoying when she does this. For instance I tell her my family has a boat and that she can come if she wants.
She goes “Is it a pontoon?”
I said yes
“Good because you can’t fit everyone on a boat”
IT IS A BOAT!!!! A pontoon is just a specific type of boat!
When I slip up she corrects me and just because I told her I wear a hearing aid she has to ask me have you ever heard of bull nuts or masturbation? Of course I have!! Just because I have hearing loss doesn’t mean I’m fricken mentally retarded!

I think she treats you that way maybe because she thinks your hearing loss left you mentally disabled. Or she is just a smart alec.
